Does cooking for a holiday crowd put you into a panic?! No worries, because these two books will be your helpers in the kitchen. The first cookbook I ever gave away on my blog was Fearless Cooking for Crowds by Michelle Evans, and I was lucky enough to recently find another copy. This is one amazing cookbook that you will use over and over. I come back to it every time I am having a large gathering. The other great book is a 70's classic from Ruth Conrad Bateman. Buffet parties are hugely popular during the holidays, and the book gives complete menus for cocktail parties, dessert and coffee parties, dinners, late suppers, luncheons, breakfasts, and brunches.
If you would like to win these two cookbooks in my random drawing, send me your name and email address by midnight CST Friday, December 10th to culinarycellar@aol.com and I will email you if your name is drawn as the winner. Good luck!!
Congratulations to Rita A. from California who won the box of books from last week's drawing!
Debbie...I just looked at your cellar pictures...I didn't think anyone else had more cookbooks and recipes (stacks and stacks) than I do...but YOU BEAT ME! I love the organization. I have the file folders and lots of 3 ring binders...but no library filing system. Good for you...LOVE IT! <3
ReplyDeleteThey look great and just in time for the holidays ( in-laws)!

Hi Michelle- It has taken decades to collect all my books, but I must say, the card catalogue and giant filing cabinets make it so much easier. Now I just need some new bookshelves, and a bigger basement!
