Curtis Stone Stories- Part Two- and a Giveaway!

If you didn't read about the wild Curtis Stone party from yesterday's blog, scroll down and read part one.  As we left off on day one, I promised a fun giveaway from the party.  No, it's not Curtis, but you get to see his face!

This was the party bag given to us as we left Paris Club.  The bag is reversible, so you can show Curtis' face on the outside or inside.  It's a nice big bag with a long strap.  Inside the bag was Curtis' latest cookbook, "Relaxed Cooking with Curtis Stone."  I have made almost a dozen recipes from the book so far, and they have all been terrific. It's a great cookbook - and you have a chance to win it along with the bag and some of Curtis's recipe cards.

To win the bag and cookbook, leave me a comment here on the bottom of this blog, on my facebook page where I will also announce the giveaway sometime today, or email me at culinarycellar@aol.com  with the subject line "Curtis Stone Giveaway."  However you enter, tell me why you love Curtis and/or his recipes.  A winner will be randomly drawn and I will contact the winner by email so don't forget to include an email address (especially if you leave a comment here on the blog) that you look at often!  Enter before midnight on March 31st.  Unfortunately, I cannot accept entries outside of the USA.  Good luck!

Curtis has a new line of dishes, kitchen items, and cookware.  My daughter Kristina had an interview with Curtis at his booth at the recent Home and Housewares Show in Chicago.  Curtis showed her all of his new products.

Gorgeous Stoneware!

Here is the bakeware that got us really excited!  It's Curtis' patented cookware that is part silicone and part metal.  It took several years of testing and retesting to get it right.  They are called "Pop Out" pans, that combine state of the art flexible silicone with durable cold rolled steel.

The unique patented design allows the baked goods to pop out of the pan in two ways.  By holding the metal handles of the pan, you can push down to release the baked good edges (it's bouncy!), then you can push on the silicone round underneath the pan to literally pop it out.  I made muffins and a quick bread, and I can tell you that absolutely nothing stuck to the pans.  It was amazing.  In addition to the muffin tin and loaf pan, there is also a deep cake pan.

I used Curtis's banana bread recipe from the cookbook.  It was fabulous!  My husband said it was one of his favorites.  It was extremely moist and the color was even and beautiful.

I found some cookbooks, of course..

Don't forget to enter the giveaway!!
